I am not sure if I agree with this poem. In a way I think it’s much too pessimistic, in another way I love it.
They fuck you up, your mum and dad.
They may not mean to, but they do.
They fill you with the faults they had
And add some extra, just for you.

That said, don’t give up yet? Would genetic screening help? I feel that people who don’t want to have kids for fear of burdening them should have kids, and might make better parents on average. Not to poop on your parade or anything, but that’s how I feel 😛
